Ian Mcardle, who died recently was a kind, compassionate man with a huge and passionate commitment in his support for Shenley as a flourishing community. As well as a distinguished academic life, his involvement in Shenley as a local authority councillor and latterly an Alderman of the city of Birmingham, brought many benefits to local people.
Shenley Court Hall was one of the many results of his drive and desire to better peoples lives and so, on behalf of Shenley Youth & Community Trust and it’s Directors, who oversee the development and management of the Hall, and of our staff, may we thank him for all that he has done for our community over so many years. We will miss his wise counsel and his company.
Our sad condolences go to his wife Mary and all his family.
